Dental Implants from Sarasota Bay Dental

What Makes Our Process Different

We understand that missing teeth have a negative impact on more than just your dental health. Tooth loss, no matter what caused the issue, can also have negative effects on your emotional well-being. At Sarasota Bay Dental, we offer a truly compassionate approach to dental implant treatment.

Our team strives to offer treatment that makes you feel truly cared for, and with Dr. Miller’s expertise, your implants will look and feel completely natural. We use the latest technology and we take an informative, communicative approach to implant treatment, so you can trust Dr. Miller to provide an exceptional experience and ideal results.

What Is A Dental Implant?

We know that the implant process can be intimidating, and that’s why we want to keep our patients informed every step of the way. At Sarasota Bay Dental, we promise that you will never feel in the dark and we’ll always communicate effectively about your procedure throughout the process. Though every implant procedure we perform is personalized and planned according to each patient’s needs, each placement consists of certain steps:

  • During your consultation, Dr. Miller will thoroughly assess your gums, jawbone, and the area of any missing teeth to determine whether you are a good candidate for implant surgery.
  • X-rays and images of your mouth will be sent to a trusted specialist, who will complete your implant surgery.
  • As your gums heal after the placement process, your dental implant goes through a process called osseointegration. This means that the implant bonds with your bone and becomes a permanent part of your jaw.
  • After the healing process, you’ll return to our office where we will permanently attach a custom crown to your implant.

What Are My Options For Implant-Supported Restorations?

At Sarasota Bay Dental, we offer both single tooth and full arch restorations. If you are replacing a single missing tooth, a porcelain crown will be custom-made to match your smile and Dr. Miller will permanently attach it to your implant.

Single-tooth restorations do not require any special care, and they often last for a lifetime with proper oral hygiene. This makes them an ideal treatment if you are missing only one or two teeth.

Full arch restorations usually involve 4-6 dental implants to replace either the upper, lower or both arches of your teeth. A set of permanent dentures will be created using ceramic porcelain material, and Dr. Miller will permanently attach them to your dental implants.
